Dear Friends in Christ,

Greetings on behalf of Evangel Voice Missions. I am writing to invite you to one night session of review and sharing that will be happening in your area soon.

It is my pleasure to serve as president of EVM alongside a dedicated group of leaders which include Pastors James Wright, Taylor Keller, J.P. Richardson, James Doss along with Michelle Carpenter whose ministry includes prayer, teaching, and prison discipleship.

EVM’s purpose it to distribute Rev. Loran Helm’s autobiography, A Voice in the Wilderness. I believe you would be encouraged to know that the book continues to go out not only in this country but to various areas around the world in several languages. It has circulated in Russia, India, Cuba, Mexico, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Germany, Israel, Sierra Leon, and the Bahamas. The book is not only the story of significant portions of his pilgrimage but contains revelatory teaching on key issues for following Jesus. It is, among other things, an effective discipleship instrument helping people learn to walk with the Lord.

There are many stories, from many places concerning the impact the teaching and examples from the book have had upon people in many cultures. We are particularly thankful for our partnership with ministries who place the book in prisons. One ministry in particular has distributed the book to over 1500 prisons across the US and Canada. In addition, we are thankful for leaders in several nations who distribute the book because they have recognized the difference in makes in the hearts of people. I was with a group of pastors in Mexico this year who were trained under Rev. Helm’s ministry through Dr. John Cook. They continue to use Rev. Helm’s book in their churches and outreach ministries.

I am convinced the message that the Lord entrusted to Rev. Helm is intended to help prepare the church for the soon return of Christ. It is a message that addresses the need of the heart along with that which God alone can do as we trust and obey Him. Jesus is returning for a pure and spotless Bride. This message from an apostle helps us know His plan to prepare His Bride. You were on the front lines of receiving such a message. It is worthy of review and retention.

I am conducting a one-evening session in your area for the purposes of reviewing and renewing our focus upon some of the key distinctives that we received from Rev. Helm’s message to the church. Many were blessed to receive rich impartation of teaching and experience. Certainly, you are among those. This will be an opportunity to review. It will also come with a challenge to revive, retain, and effectively represent that which we know to be true. It is my sincere hope and desire that you will join with those in your area who have also been recipients of Kingdom treasure.

Regardless of where you are now and even in light of all the good and difficulty that transpires over time, it can and should be a blessing to review Light. That will be our focus. I am aware, as are you, that situations happen in churches, between people and sometimes with leadership that leave relationships strained and pathways obscured. All those things, some of which are painful, do not change the beauty, power, and richness of God’s intentions with the mission that is attached to the message, given to us through a very special messenger. We can allow love to cover the past while remaining faithful to the Word which we have been so graciously given.

I want to encourage you to bring your well-worn copy of A Voice in the Wilderness in case you want to share a particular thought or quote. That will be welcome and helpful for the review.

Our host for the evening will share more details soon.

Blessings in Christ,

Rev. Jerry D. Keller
